Aim: To prepare, evaluate and submit hairdressing cream.
Requirements: Beakers, Water bath, Stirrer, Wide mouth container.
Chemicals: Mineral oil, Stearic acid, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Perfume, Water.
Formulation Consideration: Hairdressing products are necessary to manipulate, hold or adjust the configuration of hair and to control durability, shine, or appearance of hair arrangement and assembly throughout the day or week between shampoo and styling cycles. It is an emulsion of water and mineral oil stabilized with triethanolamine. Mineral oil does not turn rancid and forms a protective film on the surface of the hair and prevents its dullness. It is preferred due to its relatively low viscosity (easy to spread) and penetrating power. Stearic acid is used as a stiffening agent. Perfume is added for aesthetic appeal.
