Aim: To prepare and submit 100 ml Vasaka syrup.
Requirements: Vasaka, Simple syrup, beaker, pipette, glass rod, measuring cylinder, etc.
Theory: Syrups are the clear, homogenous, concentrated solutions of sugar dissolved in purified water. Syrups act as self-preservative as they exert high osmotic pressure due to the high concentration of sugar in them and they do not allow bacteria to grow. Syrups are good demulcents and soothing agents and hence they are of special value in cough syrup. Flavored syrups are a convenient form of masking disagreeable tastes.

Glycerin | 10 ml |
Syrup quantity sufficient | 100 ml |

Procedure:
- Prepare vasaka liquid extract by percolation process.
- Mix vasaka liquid extract with a measured amount of glycerin and shake thoroughly.
- Add a sufficient quantity of syrup and mix properly.
- Store in a suitable container and put the label properly.

Storage: Store in a well-closed container and keep in a cool place.
