In a shocking plane crash of Air India’s Gatwick-bound Boeing 787-8, only one person survived out of 242 people on board. His name is Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British citizen of Indian origin. He was sitting in seat 11A, which is near the emergency exit row, and he calls it nothing short of a miracle.

Vishwash had come to India to visit his family and was returning to the UK with his brother Ajay Kumar Ramesh, who sadly is still missing. After the crash, Vishwash woke up surrounded by bodies and broken parts of the plane. He ran for help, and someone brought him to the hospital in an ambulance.
Crash Happened Just 30 Seconds After Takeoff
Vishwash shared that only 30 seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. “It happened so quickly,” he said. The flight took off at 1:38 pm from Ahmedabad and crashed within minutes, bursting into flames. Vishwash received injuries on his chest, eyes, and feet, but doctors said he is not in critical condition and will recover soon.
According to hospital staff, he is being closely monitored and is doing well. Vishwash’s boarding pass shows he was seated in 11A, right in front of the plane’s left wing – a place experts say rarely sees survivors in such crashes.
